Find yourself @ RBC3

night before. bike tuned. don packed. bars pressed.
excited for the laughs. stressing ’bout the hikes.
10 miles, a climb, 5 miles, a climb, 3 miles, new-level, 7 miles, the end.
chad may bleed, joel will crush, greg may puke, efren will cook.
“it can’t be done”, “you guys are dumb”, “what took so long”

good luck to everyone tomorrow… happy to spend a day with great friends. stay fueled, stay hydrated, don’t get challenge-ending injured, bring an extra tube, wear an ass-pad.

dig deep… you have a new-level. it takes about 7 hours to find… but around phase 5b… when you realize you are to close to quit, and you’d rather lay with rocks, keep pedaling. forget yourself. breathe and pedal. you’ll find yourself. rbc3

rbc phase 1 mirror loop

rbcP1 mirror loopit’s five o’clock and i don’t want to go. i waller until five-thirty, then brew a cup of hanover coffee. blueberry oatmeal, sepultura, tire pressure, keys.

at the trail before 7am.  the air is almost cool.  heading south on trail 100.  flat/smooth mile, then jagged rocks.  loose rock climb to trail peak.  over looking SR-51/dreamy draw and phoenix.

windy drop, fast but rocky.  river bed, then climbing to asphalt.  potentially fast street ride.  i play it safe and max around 20mph.  Street ascent back to dirt trail.  fun, fairly-smooth, and fast.  ride through pit, roller coasters.  grinder ascent towards trail end.

<45 min new baseline.  shooting for <40 tomorrow morning.
